We have always done landscape masonry work at Woody’s Custom Landscaping, Inc. Many landscape companies dabble in masonry but we have many fine examples of award winning work over the years. Cultured stone applications are getting quite popular. Many clients prefer cultured stone for their seat walls as well as a face material for retaining walls.

Tight fitting flagstone patios have been installed by us for years. Lots of people getting bids want prices on flagstone over a gravel base. This is fine, but it always seems the maintenance of the joints becomes an issue. Weeds and moss will become dominant unless regular maintenance is done. The best way is to install your flagstone is over a concrete sub slab and install with mortar joints.This is also the most expensive type of flagstone patio.

CMU block retaining walls don’t have to be used just for very tall walls. We build many of them and face with natural stone or cultured stone. Most of these retaining walls are 18″ to 2.5′ high. Lots of times the price for a faced cultured stone seat wall, is equivalent to a ashlar pattern segmented concrete unit wall.

Brick is of course the classic. We don’t get to much call for brick patios and walls since there is so many types of different products to choose from. We have no problem installing any type of brick work in the landscaping.
