Cultured stone is a fantastic substitute for real rock. There are so many styles, colors and textures available. Most clients really can’t tell the difference between cultured stone and natural stone. Don’t try to install a patio with it because it is used for upright applications. Installation is pretty easy, but there are a few tricks. Don’t start at the bottom and work your way up attaching the cultured stone. You start at the top and work down. It is at least half the weight of most stone. With the proper scratch coat and mortar backing, it really does install quickly.
The video below is an example of a job we just finished in Portland Oregon. Woody’s installed the store front and entrance as well as a brick veneer wall inside the store. It works well for outside applications. You can install to the sides of concrete retaining walls, seat walls, columns and of course the side of your home. On our website www.woodyscustomlandscaping.com we have other examples of cultured stone applications. 360-687-1882
