Fall Landscaping In Vancouver Washington

Fall is the perfect time for planting and installing many different landscaping projects. For many it is the last bit of time that is available for getting that landscape wish list done.
Fall is the perfect time for installing sod and planting of trees and shrubs. The soon to be coming rain helps with less attention to watering. Fall is also the perfect time to start planting evergreen trees. October and November are when the nurseries start digging out the trees and the selection is at it’s best. If a fall landscaping job is on your list you may want to get a landscape design as soon as you can. Designers usually get busy in September and October. To use the old saying, ” You snooze and you lose.” Many of our biggest and most complicated jobs are usually in the fall. I really don’t know why that is, but hardscaping and softcaping jobs seem to be in high demand at summers end.

July 2010 Landscaping Reviews Vancouver Washington

iron mountain stone walkways‎‎
By tredick – Jul 3, 2010
This is the third time we have used Woody’s services and as with the first time we are thrilled with the end results! Jason is SUCH a professional, always gently suggesting alternatives to our ideas, extremely patient and personable and a real gentleman! Oh I know that sounds old fashioned, but so are we, so we really appreciate such a classy guy! As for the crew, whether it be Jason,Scott, CJ, Philip, Brandon, our most recent crew, you can be assured that no matter the skill level of the individual, from a new hire who is learning the trade from the ground up (pun intended!) and who will be guided through his particular phase, to the more experienced crew members, every one strives to do their very best. Thanks Woody!‎

I love knowing how we are doing with our clients. Other than getting paid in full, reviews are fantastic for our employees and hopefully make you our potential clients trust us that little bit more.
What is really exciting is to have a landscape designer who appreciates our work and we shall work on getting more of his designs.

Ponds and Waterfalls Portland / Vancouver Area

It’s a pleasure to visit old clients and see how well their landscape projects are doing. I visited a client last week sho said her pump was making a little too much noise for her. After a little foam rubber and shifting of the pump, all was well. I noticed her pond looked absolutely fantastic and thought a video of some of our work 6 years later would actually be a good blog. The waterfalls looked very nice and the pond with a seat wall around it really looked great with mature landscaping. She did have a little too many snails, but all in all the pond and surrounding area looked wonderfull.
Our webiste is www.woodyscustomlandscaping.com, please give it a look and let us be able to put your project on one of our many videos.

Interlocking Concrete Paver Driveway Vancouver Washington

Driveways typically are poured concrete whether it’s broom finish, aggregate or stamped concrete. There is another way to install driveways and that is using interlocking concrete pavers. They don’t crack or shift. If tree roots lifts a area, it won’t crack and ruin the project. All you need to do is lift the pavers, prune the roots away and reinstall the pavers. Same product. No new pour of concrete. It looks exactly the same. Can a paver driveway really last a long time. Ask the Romans, if you can. They have had paver roads for thousands of years and many are still around today.
How about maintenance? A simple pressure washing and you are back to new. With the new polymeric sands for the joints, you don’t have any problems of ants pushing up the sand through the pavers. Moss control in the cracks also is taken care of. Paver driveways are really a fantastic and effective method for driveway applications.
Our certified ICPI hardscaping and landscaping staff take the headache away of knowing who to use to install your new paver driveway. Take a look at www.woodyscustomlandscaping.com

A Great New Landscape Designer In Vancouver Washington

I am pleased to have worked with Troy Outman. I find his designing skills innovative and quite in depth. He has worked as a landscape contractor which I think really helps his skills in designing.
I have enclosed his bio as well as a job we just installed in Vancouver.
Troy Outman started landscaping at the age of 17 in 1987 for Yoshioka Landscaping in Grass Valley, California; working for Yoshioka for 4 years. There he learned the value and art of landscaping from Mr. Yoshioka which he added to the hard honest work ethics he learned growing up on a ranch. He installed several of his own jobs on the side before graduating high school. In 9992, Troy graduated from Sierra College with an Associates degree in Ornamental Horticulture while working for a nursery and continuing to install landscapes. In 1994, Troy tested for and received a C-27 Landscape Contractors license from the state of California. He then built Outman’s Landscaping, a complete landscape company: maintenance, large tree work, design and installation.
In the summer of 2005, Troy Outman closed shop in California and moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University, focusing on their Landscape Architecture school. In the summer of 2009, troy graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture. While attending school, Outman’s Landscape became a design only company.
Troy moved to Battle Ground, WA at the end of 2009 and now owns Outman’s Landscape Design and Consulting. He is dedicated to helping the landscape professional along with the home owner achieve their goals on each project. Troy Outman will go the extra mile to get the job done right.

It is all true and give him a call for any landscape design needs you may have. 360-831-3114
